Cities:
Winterun - The North
Jarl Jorunn Skaal
The oldest known city in Westgard, the ancient stone walls have protected the stronghold of the North for hundreds of years. The city of Winterun now consists of a great stone keep overlooking a cramped village of wooden huts and shacks protected by the great stone wall coming from the keep. Though the Northern lords were once powerful, the last Northern rebellion saw the extinction of House Tarbor, the ruling house for the last 200 years. After Jarl Tarbor was slain in battle and the Redforts of Stormden ended the rebellion, Jorunn Skaal took the mantle of Jarl of Winterun, and protector of the North. The village gets it's food and supplies from hunting. The cold weather of the North builds strong men and woman, and the northerners are considered the most resilient people of Westgard.

Despite it's name, the trade district is extremely large and holds more than just traders. It is also home to the poor and middle class, and of course the great market of Ironford.
