This includes a metal cuirass, pauldrons, faulds, and a helmet that he wears only in heavy fights; leather padding on his bracers, arms, torso, and legs; His armor also includes comfortable shirt, breeches, and boots, along with a cloak that he wears only on formal occasions. His sword rests in a scabbard on his side, along with a long knife that he keeps on the back of his belt.
Being the son of a Lord, he generally maintains good cleanliness standards for both his equipment and himself. His face is well known to the citizens of the Riverlands, due to his heroic deeds as well as his noble birth

The eldest son of House Ryswell, Ed was trained in the art of combat and the intricacies of diplomacy from a young age. Growing up, he knew that being the eldest son came with certain responsibilities, and was excited to take them on. He squired for some senior knights as a boy, learning the ways of war, equipment, and the life of a warrior. He is fiercely loyal to both his own father as well as the king, whose children he grew up with. When he was finally old enough, he was knighted himself, and set out to bring glory and honor to his family.
Throughout his life, he's gained renown for his exploits on the battlefield. He's gained a reputation for being merciless on the battlefield, carrying out orders ruthlessly, even when they're morally questionable. In his career as a knight, he has often shown sympathy for the peasantry and common folk. Rumors of him fiercely protecting small nameless villages from marauding bandits have earned him the nickname, "The Sentinel", a moniker he wears with pride.
Edwyn values law and order and, furious that there are those who would try and overthrow the king, is eager to join the war and restore peace to Westgard.
