Marwin Marwin rides into Southwood with some house guards beside him. One flying the red, white, and blue eagle banner of House Hanne. They pass the large wooden gates and see soldiers lining the streets. They pass through the busy market, where Marwin can see peasants trading and begging. A dog runs across the path towards the great keep and barks at Marwin's horse as it passes. As he passes the camps of other lords outside the keep he sees many different banners flying, but above them all he can see the olive bow and arrow of House Yarwyck. He rides his horse towards the stables and a fat stable boy helps him dismount. "I'll take good care of 'er, m'lord." the boy tells him. Two of the guards dismount as well and follow Marwin as he makes his way up the stone steps of the great keep. He passes a wood and stone arch and enters the main yard of the keep. Soldiers train in the yard, and he can see smiths and fletchers working to craft armor and weapons for the increasing number of soldiers. As they enter the keep itself, they are met by a short bald man, with a large moustache. "Ahh, My lord. It is good you've come. You must be Marwin of House Hanne, yes? Very good." he says, before Marwin can answer. "I am Jeeves, the steward of this keep, the meeting is to start soon, I expect you are hungry from your journey yes? There is a room prepared for you on the upper level, follow me, my lord." he leads him up some wooden stairs and down a long hall lined with expensive paintings and tapestries. As they pass the many rooms towards his own, he is stopped by a gruff old man. His shoulder length gray hair swept back behind his ears, and a large beard that falls to his chest. He looks down at Marwin, seemingly angry. But then he smiles, "Marwin Hanne? Aye it's been a while!" he chuckles, "Do ya remember me?" Marwin can't seem to recall the old man, but then he remembers. Lord Urwyck Reyne, the lord of Darkwell.

Marwin himself never married, perhaps he should look into a marriage as well, only for more political reasons than Urwyck Reyne. "Are ye ready to kill some Redfort bastards? Hehehehe." he asks excitedly.

We'll figure out how much the alliance has got all together at the meet." he says, suddenly his eyes go wide and he pats Hanne on the back, "Lady Anyssa!" he yells out and speed walks down the hall to follow her, "How are you doin' today m'lady." Marwin can hear him saying as they walk down the hall away from Marwin. Jeeves shakes his head, "I'm glad that's over, Lord Reyne smells like a drunken bear covered in manure." He leads him down to his room and opens the door. Inside there is a nice tunic and breeches sitting on a desk, and a plate of steak and greens. "If you need anything I'll be downstairs welcoming our other guests. When you are ready meet with the other lords in the grand hall. It's just past the stairs on the first floor.

George sits down and eats his food when he's done, he goes to meet the other Lords Marwin finishes the food, but decides to go meet the other lords in his riding leathers. He enters the hall and sees the lords sitting at the high table. At the head is Lord Paramount Samwell Yarwyck, Warden of the Great Forest and Protector of the south. Seated nearby is Lord Reyne, The gray bear, as he is known, Lord Tavion Sargen, lord of the town of Tenpenny, a serious looking man, tall and gaunt, with cropped black hair and clean shaven face. Next to him is Lady Anysa Vallie, lady of Mournstead, her auburn hair braided like a typical lady's hair. As Marwin passes Sargen he gives him a dirty look, he feels Lord Tavion doesn't like him but he can't fathom why. He takes a seat next to Lady Anysa and she smiles at him. Lord Yarwyck looks at him, "Ah, you've made it Lord Hanne." he rasps, his head is bald and shiny, and his face is bare except for a gray stubble. "Now that everyone is here, let's get down to business. Lord Hanne, it's my understanding that you have 800 men garrisoned. If this is correct we have 4,000 capable warriors between the five of us, and that's not counting the men from Ironford and beyond. Our odds are looking good, but that doesn't mean this is gonna be an easy war. So far, Reaper's march and Tarfield haven't declared for either side, and Falkirk is for the crown. I have a feeling Lord Tymber is going to side with Stormden, the craven that he is. Which means we need to secure an alliance with Reaper's March. Lady Egan could sit out the war ontop of her little mountain, which means we're going to need to convince her to pledge her soldiers to our cause. Or.... we could attempt a coup, that could complicate things however." he shakes his head, "If they side with Stormden, Ironford will be in a pretty delicate situation. Hanne, what do you think we should do?"

We have 4000 warriors, but it would be foolhardy to pledge them all to attack, so I think more soldiers is a much needed resource. It gives us more room to maneuver."

"Bugger Lady Egan, she's not a priority! We should hit Tarfield before they have a chance to decide, if they haven't declared for King Sunderly yet, they are against us!" Lord Reyne shouts, "But what if they aren't? What if they are just gathering men? It's understandable considering how close they are to Falkirk, Stormden's greatest ally. I say we wait." Lord Sargen says in a deep, but calm voice. Lady Anysa is quiet. "What do you think Hanne?" Lord Yarwyck asks.

I do not know. If you do, please speak up. Don't be shy now." George leans in and raises his eyebrows inquisitively.

We haven't won any major battles yet, so as far as she knows this is just a petty squabble that will be crushed before it gets started." he looks around, "I can send you to negotiate if you are set on this Marwin, but perhaps we should wait until we win a great battle, to prove that we are and will be the victors."

They sit in silence for a moment, and then Reyne stands up, "THE COAST!" he shouts, "We get ships and we hit 'em at Larwick or Lothar, they won't expect an attack there, and it will give our allies time to deal with the Riverlands." Sargen nods, "I can provide ships, but I don't have the men for a land attack. It's an okay plan, but what happens when we get caught between Stormden and Blackwatch. Larwick is the way to go." he looks at Marwin for a response.
