"Archers! Again! Knock, aim, loose!" Edwyn yells. He rallies his cavalry, and waits for the enemy infantry to get close to the barricades, but not all the way there. The archers release a volley of arrows which land in the middle of the group of infantry. It's ineffective at slowing down the charge. "ARROWS ABOVE!" a soldier shouts, Edwyn looks up and sees the arrows arcing towards him. "Men, shields up! Edric, behind me!" he shouts, lifting his shield to protect him.

When the volley is done he looks over at Edric and he is unscathed. He turns back to the front line and sees the infantry converging on the barricade. The pikemen hold them back for a moment, but they break through. "FOR AKRIVEA!" he hears a man scream before getting an axe in the face. Friendly infantry push up to meet the enemy infantry. Edwyn lowers his shield and sees a Caswell man at arms charging at him, shouting. He has a sword and shield in arm and is wearing armor and a half face helmet.

Behind him Edwyn can hear the hoof beats of the cavalry. They ride past him into the chaos of the battle, steel clashes on steel as they meet them. The enemy archers let another volley of arrows loose, but not near Edwyn. The arrows clear the frontline and thunk in the dirt in front of the archers.

The man now lies dead under Edwyn. Over the shouts and clangs of steel, Edwyn can hear a warhorn. The friendly cavalry has done good work cutting down the enemy infantry, however the enemy archers and infantry thinned out a large portion of the enemy cavalry. Edwyn feels a hand grab his shoulder tightly.

"WE NEED TO PUSH THE FUCKERS BACK!" he shouts. Suddenly he darts his head forward and pushes Edwyn back. Edwyn turns to where he is looking and sees a Caswell Cavalry man charging towards them, blade ready to swing. His uncle readies his greatsword and slashes at the horses belly as they near. The horse screams and falls over, entrails hanging out over it's stomach. The rider topples to the ground in front of Thomas. He lifts the greatsword above his head and brings it down, crushing the rider's helm with the force. Blood spatters and lands on Edwyn's cheek. Edwyn looks around the battlefield and sees infantry men clashing. The battles are more separated as opposed to a large group of warriors. Edric stands beside him, grasping a spear in his hand looking frantically around the battlefield. "RALLY YOUR MEN!" his uncle shouts.

Form a line! Infantry in front, archers in back! Cavalry, flank the fuckers!" He waits for his men to fall into formation and looks to see if there are any nearby enemies.

Most of his infantry men rally around him, the archers get into position and what remains of the cavalry rides to the flank. He sees small piles of bodies, with men fighting around or on top of them. A Caswell commander atop a horse shouts some commands and his men begin to fall back towards him.

The enemy archers release a volley of arrows, which lands in the ground in front of Edwyn and his infantry. "THEY ARE WAITING ON YOUR ORDER!" his uncle shouts.

He and his men charge forward, stepping over bodies feathered in arrows. He steps in a thick pool of blood. He can see dying men groaning on the ground, holding mutilated limbs and bleeding out. He can't see the cavalry but he can hear the neighs and whinnies of horses and the clash of steel. The enemy archers loose a volley of arrows that land behind his infantry. Beside him he can hear Edric gasping for breath, but the boy still ran with him. A warhorn blows as the enemy archers let loose another volley, and this time it is on target. Edwyn catches an arrow in his shoulder, but it doesn't stop him. The enemy infantry is fully regrouped now, and they begin to charge as well. A knight in full plate armor, with a the yellow tabard of House Caswell catches his attention. The knight closes in as they charge towards eachother, he has only a split second to decide what to do.

Edwyn barrels forward, ducks low, and with a hearty battle cry, tries to pierce the man's armor with a thrust as he collides with him.
